BURN OUT IN A DRAGSTER

This question is just because i dont know ?? when you do a burn out in a dragster with a power glide,is it done in 1st gear or high gear ? i would surely Bet High gear,,but sometimes you just gotta ask..

When I had my FED, I did'em in high. In fact, I've done high gear only burnouts in every racecar I've owned.....from an 11 second doorcar to my current 8 second Vette roadster. IMO, most cars that run 12 seconds or quicker could do high gear burnouts......

high gear only , never start it in low and then shift , asking for trouble,,I always roll through the water and hit it while car is still rolling , :D

Sometimes a guy that does not use a 3-step that feathers thru a burn out sounds like they are shifting in the water as they snap the throttle to get the tire spinning and then come down to their burnout RPM.
