can you build a 1000hp 496?

Im looking to start a build list for making a 496 BBC 1000 "ish" hp N/A, im sure a couple of you wizards on here might have some Intel for me on how to. id like to keep it a "454" base block so I don't get bumped a bunch of classes. Im totally okay with running race fuel as I have a fuel sponsor. will be going into a k20 squarebody with a corp 14 rear and a 60 upfront. built th400 and a 205 tcase. 36" tyres

To do it with a 4.250" base bore engine, +.060", and a 4.250" stroke crank it will be tough. 850 HP is a more reasonable expectation if limited to 24 degree head or limited intake and carb size. Lots of RPM and a head with 2.350" titanium intake valves. .850" lift cam. (Call Kirk at Bullet for that.) May need .904" lifters. Shaft rockers, Triple PSI spring, 7/16" pushrods. Molnar steel rods and crank or GRP aluminum rods. Vacuum pump. (A top notch engine builder would get north of $30K and might not get you there.)

Thats nuts! I appreciate the reply. Was looking to build it myself to save some coin. 850 hp is still a fair bit of hp that I can compete with
