caliper replacement outta lincoln versaille
 

I just replaced the passenger rear caliper outta of a 9" Lincoln Versaille rear disc brake rear end. (fitted into my 65 Nova)
I bled the master cylinder since is was empty(bad caliper had blown seal) and bled the rear calipers-all seems ok at this point.
When I went to reattach the ebrake cable to the caliper flange it doesnt seem to match up. Fitting the teeth from the flange to the caliper, leaves the flange either too far forward or too far backward.
Am I missing something here?
Help-I dont want to ride the car until the ebrake is properly attached
