shipping dragster overseas
 

i was wondering if anybody can give me some advice on shipping a dragster from United States(louisiana) to australia. i have a very serious buyer that has gotten a estimate from some unknown source(to me) on shipping the car from Monroe, Louisiana to Los Angeles.,CA. and then shipping overseas from there. the cost from La. to Ca. is 2000.00 and then from U.S. to Australia is 3500.00 plus taxes and customs charges and fees. i was wondering if anybody has shipped a car overseas that may offer some input. there has got to be a way of shipping my car from New Orleans, La. instead of CA.and this should be less exspensive. thanks for any and all help that can be offered, keith

I almost sold a dragster to a man in australia a few months back , he wanted me to take it to Houston and put it in container , I backed out on deal because it wasn't worth the extra effort to me..
