We have found out that the Brad Penn oils they have lower zinc and phosephate for some reason and we have used this oil for cam break in for years with no probems and we also used the old Rotella T 15/40 before they lowed the zinc in that oil. In fact if you call Brad Penn thay won't even tell you the zinc content.

Now we have gone to the http://www.cen-pe-co.com/ as they have a 15/40 for the older deisel engines that has 1582 ppm of zinc and over 1300 phosephate and they 20/50 oil is higher in both zinc and phosephate.

I seen some new castrol oil the other day at the parts store which is suppose to be loaded with all the anti wear stuff, not sure of the zinc content but its a 15w 40 designed for heavy duty trucks and machinery. Anybody have the low down on this new castrol oil? ><Cp

The http://www.cen-pe-co.com/ 20/50 has 2300 PPM of zinc and is high in phosephate and since the Brad Penn lowered there zinc we Had to get away from it.

We have used the 50 weight http://www.cen-pe-co.com/ in our alky blower engines we build and no problems.

What about 20w50 motorccle oil? It is supposed to still be loaded with zinc. I think I'm going to try it. I mean if it's good enough for a 12,000 rpm bike it's good enough for a 7000 rpm sbc. Seems to have better anti shearing capabilities. Pick any brand and the car or bike 50wt are the same price but the bike oil has zinc and phospherous.
