I Need A Crank

I am in need of a crank. I was looking for a stock 454 crank but I cant find one new other than eagle or a scat. I'm not buying either one of those. So does anyone know where I can buy a new stock crank?

What's wrong with a Scat crank? Either cast or forged, Scat is a good buy for a lesser expensive crank.

The main reason I dont want Eagle or scat is they are imported from china. And I have read sum other forums on the web that do say that Scat is better than Eagle but there are still issues with them also. I just scattered a Eagle forged 383 rotating assembly and my finacial advisor, aka my wife, prolly isnt gonna let me spend another chunk anytime soon so I just wanna make sure that this one is up to par.

What imported I never knew that,Ive been twisting 7500rpm out of my rotating assembly for PROBABLY 5 years now with no problems yet.

I am with Jeff. Got to 582's sitting on the floor pushing 1000HP that have well over 300 runs each on them. I have not had a problem with Eagle stuff. Now I am also of the thought of mind that any moving part can break at any time. Parts failure doesn't know a brand name.

HOW TRUE !

I'm not saying that all of them are bad. But I have had one that broke and did sum research and found that the casts are made in China then shipped to the U.S. where the companies here heat treat and machine them here. But what really turned me against them is when I twisted my crank between the front main bearing and the timing chain gear at bout 2800 rpm's and 50 mph and wasnt getting on it. this was a forged Eagle rotating assembly so I dont think it should have broke. Where things went real far south is when I called them to discuss what happened and they said "Well we have plenty of satified customers" which tells me they dont need me as a customer.
