Help with whats wrong with engine.....
 

Hey guys I need yer help on this. I seen this ad on craigslist about them needing a mech to fig out what was wrong with his car. I emailed him and got a video of the engine running. I will post the ad that he put on craigslist to help too. Here is the video of the engine running. I think the timing jumped a tooth or 2. Let me know whatcha guys think.

could be valves hitting pistons, jumped time. hard to tell , the sound recording isn't that good

Sorry he said the he was going to try and get it on video cam.

Sounds like there's more than one knock on that engine. If you're thinking about buying it, I'd stay clear.

Sounds like some valve clatter, along with a rod knocking. Just because he pulled the pan doesn't mean it's not a rod.

No Im not trying to buy it. The guy is just trying to get it runnig good again.

could be the flywheel broke or the harmonic blancer also dose it have oil pressure.If not the oil pickup could be clogged.

But I would stay clear just incase somthing flys off. :lol:

well it will be put out of its misery. if it was a horse it would have to be shot :shock:

sound's like either a camshaft lobe gone and hyd lifter is trying to compensate, or bottom out of lifter. But what the Hell do i know i am a ''Mopar man'' :!: :!: :!:
