I'd say tire pressure is about right and might try a little more. Small tires like more pressure. I ran 14-15lbs in my low 11 sec Nova with 28x9 Mickeys. Most stock eliminator guys run every bit of that and more......are you hurting your 60 ft with the wrinkles? Probably not, but you might bump the pressure up a little and see what your 60's do.

How much does car weigh ?...one thing for sure the more Air you can run without blowing them off the faster and more stable the car will be.

Please understand Tire pressure is A fine tunning effort, much like the 4 link..it doesn't take much adjustment either way to see results....so when your experimenting with the pressure..1/2 lbs at a time...is safe...and when you get close 1/4 lbs count...( digital gauges are best for accuracy)

check the pressure while your in stagging just before your Run....DO NOT check them and let it sit there in the SUN...block the tire from the sun.

You also might want to compare your gauge to a couple others for accuarcy. I bought a new high quality gauge (I thought) and found it to be off by 5.5lbs  Well figured out why the car wouldn't hook any more. Just a thought.

Jeff their right about the air presure. I had a 69 chevell that was a 6.40 1/8 mile car and it had M/T 10.5x 29's with a 5.13 gear and no one could drive that car all out with less than 14 pounds of air in them 13.5# all over the track, 14# you could run it down the track with your little finger.
I called Mickey T and they told me to start at 18# and work down 1/2 # at a time to where you had great traction it and ran straight. my majic # was 14. but they are all different. my 14x32 M/T's on my new car 8# .Always remember though let off the gas and run it again if it aint straight somethings wrong. Be SAFE,
Andy
