how much stroke can a 350 stock block take
 
i run in a class that it has to be a stock block I'm not a huge fan of the 400CID and i have a 350 010 block that 40 over and i was wanting to go to a 4in crank or maybe a 4.125 stroke what do you guys thank i haven't talked to alot of guys about this. will it live or not it will be in a mud truck.

Are you planning on running any water in the block for cooling? You can typically grind and fill the water jacket for a 4" stroke, not sure on any more

I just put together a 383" with Eagle SIR rods which had 3/8" bolts. Crank was 3 3/4" stroke, i had to grind the block to clear the bolt heads in several places near the bottom of the cylinders. I would think a 4" crank would be next to impossible without lots of grinding and weakening the block at the bottom of the cylinders.

i have a buddy with a 350 block with a 3 and 7/8 stroke it was hard blocked and it made 680 hp and its living so far it makes it a 397 ci im just looking for alittle more

with a 4" stroke. you will for shure hit water. it is exspensive but i would devcon the block instead of hard block.
