Piston to head clearance

On a 620" BB Chevy is .045-.050 enough piston to head clearance with steel rods. The bore is 4.560.Thanks

I think so with steel rods, i've run .010 out with steel rods an a s/blk. I've got a blown alcohol s/blk with alum. rods and i'll be running .030 down with .052 gasket due to more clearance and piston rock on inital fire up.
I do build the engine so i can run a little happy juice (nitro) 10/20%) atmost.

Just make sure you will have room for piston rock :D ....If everything is new you will be good, but if it's been puff honed a time or two be careful :D

That's enough clearance for aluminum rods as well.

We run ours .010 in the hole, with a .050 gasket (MGP alum rods).
