dragster chasis update

can some one explain to me what is means when an older dragster has been updated? I understand when it goes form a hardtail to a 4 link or whatever but do you think they are refering to electronics or is there somethign to do with the front end? any input is appreciated.

updates that are referred to is bars or changes to chassis to meet ihra/nhra rullings. such as helmet bars etc.

Like mentioned above new bars or a lot of times updated means new componets, wiring, electronics and such.

Ask what the updates are and when they were done. Helmet bars should not even be an update issue by now unless the car has been run uncertified the last 2 years. Front uprights and uprights behind the driver area will be welded or replaced. Motor mounts or plates, steering racks, tie rod ends, spindles, ect. Then there are wiring and electronics. Again, ask, ask, ask and then ask some more.
