what year do you have? I have an 01 ZR2 s10 blazer for a winter daily driver. the zr2s came with upgraded 3.73s, normal s10s are smaller, 3.10? you can also get chev 4.11 or 4.56 gears for pretty cheap compared to aftermarket axles.

I used run a 10-bolt from a mid 70's camaro using a 10" wide wheel and 7.5" of backspacing the wheels will stick out a little.. I have also heard that you can drop in an 8.8 out of an explorer basically the same width as a stock S10..
I am still running the same rearend in the truck pictured below just had it narrowed 6 3/4" with the same wheels..15x10 with 7.5" BS |
S-10
The truck is a 87 with a stock width rear. 15x7 rims and a 275-60 tire. i dont know the back spacing.I dont want to back half it .Just looking for a rear maybe a 8.5 10 bolt that would fit. Im new to this S-10 stuff.Thanks..

Yea that is the rear I run. But like I said the tires would stick out a little, even with alot of backspacing.

in my '88 s10 i have early '70's bronco rear. it measures 58" oveall. you can run up to 6.5 back spacing and still not hit the frame.

axle
all the zr2 s10 trucks and blazers carry the 8.5 10bolt with 31 spline axles .not the 7.5. the width is a perfect fit just need to concentrate on offset.
