Street Rod Stall Converter

I have a 1933 ford hi-boy coupe running a TCI built turbo 350 with a 4,000 Stall. Manual valve body. Its strictly a street car. 468 BBC with tunnel ram with 2- 750 edelbrock carbs. Rear end ratio 3:25. 31" tall tires. My problem obviously is that the stall is too high. Any opinions on the following.
1. Change the stall to something more street friendly- 2,200-2,400
2. Change the trans to a 700R4 with 2,200 - 2,400 stall, don't know if I can get by with the 3:25 rear gear.
3. Same as #2 but a manual valve body.
4. Change the trans to a 200-4R

I'm looking for a street friendly car with some better mileage. Currently about 5 miles to the gallon. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Your cam justifies most of the convertor. Your real problem here is alot of torque in a really light car. Anyway you go about it, you will have to have a little extra stall. Just from a quick glance i would put a hughes 3500 in it. How do you know you have a 4000 stall anyways?

Well first off, with twin 750's sitting atop your intake the MPG is about right, if you want better MPG I'd lose one of the carbs and stick a overtranny tranny in there like a 200-r4 or a 750R, either way you've got to get your rpm's down.

If you think your stall is too loose, take it out & call Kenny Ford or Tim Owens @ PTC. They can fix you right up.
