No carb problems in 8 days

No chatter on this topic in a while. Nobody has any carb issues these days?

to damn cold to find out....lol :P

actually... i do have a question? as we got later in the season and temp dropping in the later rounds.... everyone else was dialing slower times cause of the cooler temps but my car kept running faster and faster as the air got cooler.. it would pick up at least a tenth in ET. so is that a sign that i might be running rich or something?

Engine is just getting loose hence less friction resulting in faster revup !  :D :D :D

What altitude ya running at ?

track is just over 900 ft of elevation. unlike previous motors i ran... this motor always runs faster after the sun goes down and the air gets cooler. i remember when i first started racing... and i was missing my dial time and i was told cars run slower in cooler heavy air.

Did you by chance pick up some RPM when it cooled off also?

I think if it gets cooler and stays dry it goes faster, unless your on the edge of being lean. But if you start seeing moisture on cars good chance of slowing down.Bill.

If you are picking up a tenth, then I'd say your carb is jetted a little on the rich side in warm weather. But be careful if you lean it out just in case you get in cool weather again. When I jet mine, I keep going richer until my MPH starts dropping off then back it down 1 jet size.
