I will take the fuel lines off and spray WD-40 into the pump as I rotate the pulley.

winterizing

This is second hand info, but a friend told me he justs pours diesel fuel in the empty fuel cell and runs the starter until it is curculated thru out the system.
Then he just drains everything when its time to go racing.

My method, drain all alcohol and blow out the pump and all the lines. I use Marvel mystery oil, pour some in the line going to the barrel vave and open the throttle and blow/force it thru the injection system, pour some into the pump and rotate it to make sure all parts are coated. I have found in the past that WD 40 drys out and it's also corrosive to the alum parts. A lot of the pump builders (aka DSR, etc) ship their pumps with Marvel Mystery oil in the pumps. Many yrs ago when i was running a blown alcohol alum BBC we used to after every race blow out the pumps and put Mineral Spirits thru the system. That was a weekly ritual, but that was over 20 yrs ago.

Marvel or WD40. No problem with either. Make sure to circulate it thru the pump and the lines are filled and capped. Also do the carb and fill the pulls. Everything gets put into a separate heavy plastic bag that has been sprayed with oil as well. I tend to get a little carried away and could probably cut back, but not going to chance it. As for the fuel cell, drained and some race gas added.

Dexron ATF will do a good job as well.
