ROTELLA T
Has anyone ever used rotella t oil from shell in there race car.
|
I've used it.
|
It was recomended for me to use in my motor when I fired it up for the first time by my engine builder
Good for anti scuff properties apparently |
i run it in all my diesel trucks, i love it. I tried it in my blown street car and i did not like it It, seemed like the 15w 40 was too thin for the engine as soon as the oil got warm. I do mix rotella and normal motor oil on all break ins', then run valvoline racing oil.
|
That is all I run in my 422sbc. There is suppose to be like 4x the protective stuff in there... :)

Side note, on another forum a few months back there was a guy who sent in a bunch of oils to be tested, VR1 Valvoline came back with the best results. I've been using it for years. |
Iv been running it in my race car for years and never had a problem .
I like it myself |
oil
I have had excellent results with Brad Penn. This oil comes highly recommended by cam manufacturers for use with flat tappet cams. The oval track alcohol injected guys swear by it.
