BBC HEADS
I NEED A HEAD WITH ABOUT 98 CC CHAMBER.. ALL HEADS I SEE ARE 112 TO 115 CC. THEY SAY THE DECK IS .400 THICK. IT CAN BE MILLED TO GET 108 CC OR LESS. WHAT HAPPENS TO, V/P CLEARENCE??THA VALVE LOOK DEEPER IN THE HEAD . I ASUME FROM THICKER D :shock: ECK??

Maybe you need different pistons to use 119 cc heads like most BBC's are?
V/P clearance goes away as you cut heads down, at some point needing piston valve pockets to be deepened, which weakens pistons. Back to pistons again, not heads. |
