Crankcase Evacuation System

I bought a Crankcase Evac. System from the last swap meet. I have a couple of question on installing it. First what hose should I use?? Is the clear tubing the sell at Lowe's good enough or will it just melt. Also have far into the exhaust should the fitting stick out?? any trick on where and how for the header/exhaust I should install it? This is being install on a 72 chevelle.

Thanks,

Travis

I too think heater hose is the common practice, unless you're in close qtrs, with the header tubes, then it's steel braided line but at 2 times the cost.
