305 heads with 1.94 valves on a semi stock 350?
i bought this amazing 84 gmc pickup for $100. www.cardomain.com. it had a worn out 305 in it, and i am in the middle of an engine swap for a 350. i have bought 2 sets of 350 heads and neither one was what they were supposed to be. i have a set of 1.94 valve 305 heads with open chambers, and i was wondering if this would surfice until i had the money to buy a good set of 350 heads? the specs of the engine are: stock crank turned .10 on main and rod.. 495 lift comp cam with 295 duration intake/exhaust. new lifters and springs to match cam. new stock bore summit pistons with new rings. and a built quadrajet 4 barrel. this is just for the street. will this work for time being? and what kind of power should i expect in the meantime?

heads
You will be pleased as you are not racing, you are trying to move 4500 lbs and this valve will help increase moving power. Later J.Smith 4621 racing :D

good luck i had probs with detonation others have had better luck, with such a small comb chamber 50-58cc? it raises compression almost too much for stock parts ,plenty of 882 castings w/194 out there and used aftermarket heads arent hard to find.

The Chevy performance page has a HP buildup on a very similar setup to your engine. With stock Chev heads no less.
