moroso spur gear pump question
 

i just purchased a 427 b/b with a moroso #22163 spur gear pump. gave engine a check up for clearances etc. reassembled,and when i went to prime system with a 1/2 drill i blew filter gasket out. put new filter on and tightened and spun it again. turning drill at about 100 rpm my 100# gauge is past 100lbs. is there an adjustment to lower pressure or what.. thanks for any advise :shock:

Sounds like the regulator is hung. You will have to disassemble the pump.
