anyone know what it costs to tub a 83 c10

Hi I was wondering what it costs to tub and install a S&W 4 link in a 83 c10 swb with all parts and labor? thanks

You can almost guarantee It'll start off at 5K once you figure the good rod ends, housing, diff, axles, brakes not to mention wheels and tires.

The gauge to go by is take your estimates, then double them. That will get you close to the actual done figure.

prices can vary, but a rear clip is around$2000 -$2500 with tubs then $300 for cage, then $1200 or so rear slicks and wheels, then rearend is $1500-$3000 to have set up and narrowed with billit axels, then $2000-$5000 to have somebody install and setup, $400-$500 for a driveline We could do this all day. It cost a lot but looks SWEET!!!!!!

I've been wanting to back-half my lil 97 S-10, drop it in the weeds, hi end wheels/tires, maybe a pro stock wing ( ) and re-do the paint. Once it's done, I'll leave the 2.2 under the hood and cruise. Look mean as hell.

What's the sense in doing it that way?

Cuz I want to. :P

the guys are right, but I would add, if you are going to pay someone to do it, find a "good"chassis shop and pay what they want to do it. If you try to save a few bucks here, all your expensive parts will be wasted if they are not installed straight and squaure.
Building cars, even back halfs are not cheap anymore, but when they are done correct they work well and are a piece of art in my opinion...

thanks for the advice ED that is very true. there is one shop 50 miles from me that would be a good one to go to. www.weracehardcore.com hardcore racing. at first i was going to build it for racing only but now im thinking about prostreeting it. a buddy of mine has a 85 swb c10 that is a stock body with a ford 9 but not backhalf and he runs 10.5 M/T with a street built 535 hyd roller cam and 9.5 comp. and it runs 11.46 in the 1/4 all day or until parts break wich has happend. im building a 422 sb that i hope will be powerfull and fun to play with. thanks Cal
