Scammer phone number; 304-470-7293?
 

I listed a set of used Dexter electric trailer brakes here on RJ, then get some texts from this number. From the wording of the texts, I could see immediately this wasn't a real buyer. Anyone else get texts from this number?

yes,i have this guy was sending me $1300.00 for $500.00 worth of jr parts.he dos every thing by tex only.he said the difference was for shipping that he was arranging,everyone should be on the alert for this guy.

Same guy sent me a check for $1100.00 for $200.00 worth of parts. I took it to the bank then to the police. The bank has a lot of inquiries about the check from J. P. Morgan Chase bank. He is scamming all over the country. If it looks too good to be true it probably is. Or if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck--- its a duck.

You can add these two phone numbers as well: 405-247-0896 and 347-741-7608. There is another one but I didn't save it. All three messages say the same thing, even though they are from three different area codes. I specifically state in my ad that there is NO SHIPPING! PICK UP ONLY! Every text says they will send me a check and arrange pick up with their shipper. I could tell by the way the texts were written that they were not legit.

Same issues with me, same phone number (304-470-7293). Offered to pay me via US bank check with $500 extra for shipping and handling charges....

I didn't enter into any deal with this person, as the texts he sent didn't sound like a legitimate buyer (i.e., very strange semantics)! I replied back and said; "you sound like a scammer to me" then never heard anything back!
