Sold and gone
 

Guys and Gals,
Well I just sold my old Firebird and watched it go down the road on the transport truck. It was really weird seeing that. It's amazing how you can form an attachment to a car even though you don't realize it at the time.
The only way I know how to deal with this is to find another car and start calling Jegs/Summit. It's a vicious cycle and an addiction!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

We all like the addiction but the older I get the more I wished that I would have just put my money into just one of my hotrods. Because after all the money that I have spent on 5 Camaro's, 1 Firebird, 1 Mustang, I myself could be doing 5 sec 1/4 miles. So I am trying to be a one car man from here on out with my 66 Nova.

Now that is some good advice! I too have had several vehicles (Mostly 4 wheel drives) that I sunk alot of money into and as we all know one RARELY ever gets their money back out of a used vehicle. If I would have stuck with just one of them, then I would certainly have one sweet ride now considering all of the money that I have lost over the years.

if you buy the right car from the start ( DONE) it can be a life saving headache and NO comparison to the cost savings..

I know that feeling all to well.
Sometimes I had to sell my "CAR(S)" just to stay afloat due to a job loss or some other finacial reason, and other times I just got a wild hair and wanted something different.
Hell I 've even sold ones and later bought them back...lol
But either way I'd trade my left nut to have some of them cars back.
Say like for instance that mint 66 gto I sold for 6000 dollars.
If I could only turn back the clock.

You are exactly right in the fact that it is much cheaper to buy one that is already built instead of building one yourself. Actually, right now I am enjoying my '07 Mustang GT. It is really nice just being able to jump in and go without having to "tweak" or adjust something everytime you want to go somewhere. Maybe eventually I will look into getting another old car to take to the track, but for now the air conditioning, power seats, power windows, power disk brakes, power steering, and "maintenance free" style of car ownership has really spoiled me. 8)

HEY.....Whatever Floats a mans boat...just doesn't float mine fast enough ?...lol
