chassis certification

Does anyone know of a place or person in the chicagoland area that does nhra certifications? My old cage didn't pass the 8.50 cert (tubing was too thin)and now I have a new one and would like to have it cert. this winter.

Here is a link to Div 3. Click on the list of chassis inspectors and it should give you names.

Mike Vehige is a good friend of mine. He lives 40 miles west of downtown St.Louis. He may be the closest to you.
Great guy, he owned and operated MAR track in Wentzville.
Tell him Vince Tosto ask you to call him.

Thanks for the replies on chassis cetifications. I was just near St. louis @ Gateway Int. Raceway about 3 weeks ago. I hate I didn't ask sooner. I also checked the div. 3's inspector lists and sent a couple of emails. Thanks again.

I just purchased a car (on racingjunk) in Indiana and would not "seal the deal" until the chassis was certified. I contacted the division 3 tech department and I can't speak highly enough of all the individuals that responded to help me. I had not even seen the car, but one of the tech guys actually drove to the sellers house and certified the chassis and then called me to give me his thoughts on the car. The tech guy called me BEFORE the seller did. If any of you division 3 guys are reading this, Thanks a million!!
