I bought a supposed 400 main dart block ready to run from Joel and he shipped me a blown up un usable 350 main block for my 1650.00. He wont return my emails or phone calls and i have begged and pleaded with him to make this right. If anyone knows JOEL AVERY of HORN LAKE Mississippi, 901 921 4610 please point him to this post so he knows hes famous now

I was wondering about the local pickup thing too, but it sounds like he had it shipped for the 1650, since he was asking 1400

I don't know a Joel Avery, but i have lot's of fellow racers in North Miss. that may know him, i in fact have a residence up there myself. Looking at the ad i donot see where it says 400 mains, so it must have been verbal. Not taking side either way, but you didn't say what was blown up on the motor :?: I will say that a Dart lil M block with billet mains goes for about $2300.00 depending who you buy it from. Also the 350 main motor is much better than a 400 main motor anytime, not JMO but fact. It sounds like it's a 4.155 bore, it can be bored to 4.180 safely if there are no cracks or damaged area's in the blk. if that's the case i think you got a pretty good deal at $1400.00.

He shipped it to me for 250, thus the 1650. And the 400 main thing was verbal. And when i said blown up, i mean blown up. He sold it (verbally) that is was ready to run. Number 5 main was beat up and wallered out that the main cap and block register was hammered badly, and the main thrust area was actually bbroken and cracked. and someone had peened the block at a feeble attempt to tighten the register back up. an expensive repair and hardly (ready to run" Also obvious evidence of a thrown rod in 7 & 8 area.

I stand corrected, with that kind of damage you definately got screwed, maybe that's why he decided to ship the block because anyone looking at the block in person would not have bought it. i'll ask around and see if anyone knows this person.

Thanks but I have not scamed anyone. My post was listed pick only he called me wanting me to ship. If I was trying to scam I wouldn't let people come to my house with my wife and kids if I was selling junk.

Keith Monague. He has made threats on voice mail trying to bully me. I don't respond to threats and he wonders why I won't return phone calls. If he wants to try to scam someone it won't be me. He can post what ever he wants about me.

This is a pathetic response, I think you and all will agree. Yes I asked him to ship it, what does that have to do with the fact that he sold me a junk block? No body even came by his house and looked at it and If they had and knew anything I guarantee they would have seen what a POS it was. Ask him why he wont return my calls and emails if he is so innocent?? He has cut me off completely because he knows he doesnt have a leg to stand on. He also lied about putting insurance on the block. He told me it must have been damaged in shipping (cough) and that I need to file a claim, I them told his voice mail because he wont pick up the phone, that he is the shipper and he must file the claim, to which of course he had no reply.

And in reply to that last resoponse, I sent him pics of his block and he should have clearly recognized it was his since he just shipped it to me 3 days prior, I guess the only way this is gonna be resolved is if i load up HIS junk block and drive it over there to him, lets see him talk his way out of that one.

This just frys my shorts! This guy ships me a POS blown up block and tries to make me the bad guy! Joel, If this had been a nice block and 400 mains you would have gotten ONE call from me, and that would have ben to say thank you. I am not a thief or scammer and never have been, this is all because he had NO IDEA what he was selling and now he wont make it right.

Can you post some pics of the damaged areas?

Will post pics tomorrow, and it would have been up to the seller to record a serial number before he shipped it to me I would have if was selling.. This is a lost cause, Joel is being totally irrational and rediculous with his accusations of whqt i was supposedly "trying to pull" I can see with people like him you are beating your head against the wall. Even if i drove 1500 miles and confronted him with HIS block i am sure that he would deny that it is his. It hopeless with assholes like this. I will keep trying to reason with him but Im sure I will get nowhere.

I haven't done anything wrong. I do not fill the need to explain my self to any of these people on the post. I shipped a perfect dart block with 400 mains. If he wants to rant and rave about me then he can do as he pleases. I have better things to do then worry about what everybody thinks. He can make all the threats he wants. That's why I will not ship anything else to anybody. Because of crap like this.

the problem is it ruins your rep on this and many other sites for ever selling anything and have a holier then thou attitude while people are trying to find out the truth to either help prove weather your inocent or guilty of wrong doing doesnt look good in your favor lokks of people come on with that attitude most were the guilty party

so far its just "he said, he said" and not any proof. Now if you have pics of the block he sent you before you received it and after, that would be interesting to see. My question to the seller is, did you actually have this motor or was it something you got from someone and they told you it was "this and that"? Seems to be a lot of that going around lately...

Here the pics of the "perfect Block" Joel shipped me, As you can see #5 main is hammered badly the cap and the register in block is so worn that the cap can move around a quarter of an inch, I place a pic of HIS main cap with the bolts in it and my 400 main cap so he could see the difference. Also can see a useless attempt by someone to try and peen the register tight.

fast top main is one from block 350 size bottom is his own 400 main the one block is suposed to be
