I bought a blower from someone on racing junk and it need lots of $ to get it to work, waiting on word back from him but he says it happened in shipping, But a bolt never got in the gear case on a blower and chewed up the gears in shipping!!!!! :(

Racing Junk suggests useing an escrow account to protect the buyer.

Could you post the add #.

Judge7915 03-20-2012 07:32 PM

Add #2450945 There was a small bolt in the bottom of the gear case and its been there for awhile as its all chewed up and so are the gears. the oil is full of filllings, Im thinking that would be hard to happen in shipping like seller says.

Judge7915 03-28-2012 06:52 PM

Yup seller " davgrava " is a dick wont help me at all

Judge7915 04-01-2012 06:08 PM

I don't see a need to put down the RJ site just because you're pissed off about someone ripping you off. I've bought and sold a lot of stuff on this site and have never been ripped off!
Be a man about it and don't blame someone else for your problems!

Judge7915 04-03-2012 08:50 AM

I put that as i am trying to find out if theres any thing that can be done and no one including RJ has been any help!! So as per being a man ? You talk about putting someone down !!! if you got scored for $3000 would you be happy? I think not. If i bought this off Ebay them and paypal would be helping me and that i no as they have helped me in a problem before. I cant even leave him feedback until he adds something about honer payment, he was payed in full before he sent it, so i was hoping someone from RJ or a member would give me an idea what to do! Unless im missing something in the posts i done see any help as of yet. Do i think racing junk sucks NO will i buy again through RJ again yes but since i cant seem to get any help i will be alot more carefull!!!!!

What to do

Yes be more careful next time.

Paypal would help you in this purchase like at Ebay if you had used Paypal. This site has nothing to do with that part.

This site does have a list of suggestions for buyers including using an escrow service which would have given you time to inspect the blower before OKing the payment.

Getting all the info about the purchase, ad #, any correspondance, etc., on this post about the sale, might give someone on here a way to help.

If the guy is dishonest, he may promise to do something to get the heat off him from this post, but he will never send you a dime. Unless you can file a suit on him, figure on fixing it and charge it to experience. Even winning a suit does not mean you will get repaid. JMO.

Racing Junk is providing a free service for a buyer and seller to come together. What happens after that is between the buyer and seller for the most part?

grimratter 04-03-2012 05:15 PM

I think I might have figured out the only way the blower could have gotten chewed up durring shipping

Mark

I guess he would blame the local news paper too if he bought something from a PRIVATE SELLER that placed an add there.

Judge7915 04-05-2012 06:57 PM

I am not blaming RJ for anything other than not getting any ideas on what to do, as for it happening in shipping a bolt cant get in to a sealed gear case and chew up the gears and put fillings in the oil, the gears are screwed and there is no way selller didnt now! So i get screwed and ask for help, dont get it and get frusterated and everyone comes down on me! Sorry i wont come on forum and ask for help again. Yes a am pissed off and so would you all be if it was you. :(
