bought a 400 from raceparts89 payed and supposed to be shiped today gurateed i text him and called him and nothing no info on shipping or anything he had some other stuff on rj website has anyone had any dealing with him.

That profile wont even come up when I search it.

he is a crj member and i never seen a profile just a classified posting 400motor and intake and carb it was posted nov 10 had some other parts to.

Do you have the ad#? That could help a little.

the ad#is 2040722 he finally text me back but he said he was working and i had to wait to get tracking number i guess i will just have to see what happens but i will definetly keep everyone posted.

I would be so pissed I would probably send your money back or sit on your parts for a month. Now you are bugging him while he is at work for a tracking number?

Give him a chance before you go damaging his reputation.

imo give him a couple days to get tracking number and at least 2 weeks for delivery. i mean yes your buisness is important but i guarentee if im getting ready to ship some thing and either weather or family issues came up you may have to wait a couple days but i would let you know as soon as possible.
heck me and dirka were hammering out a deal last winter and it fell through cause life happened on his end but i dont hold it against him and he felt bad for the deal but hey its life

If you do a search it seems this seller has been less than honest in the past,so maybe the Original poster has a right to worry, however it would have been better to search before he bought. I hope he gets his parts.

I just sold a blower for $1200 on ebay, I told the guy, give me a few days to get it out cause i was laid up. He understood and didnt jump the gun like this guy.i would say if 2 weeks went by and no tracking or shipment, then start a thread. But the same day, jesus christ your impatient.

well thats just it i did see a post from a someone else on forum but later and it said went to his house and motor was not what he said and that will worry anyone i guess just worry since first time ordering anything this big from outsider and when i put post and then no info on shipping like he said and poof automatic worry wart. but i also said wait and see.

the engine was supposed to be shipped monday betweem 1-5pm i guess when he didnt info me or anything then i naturally had questions if i jumped the gun i am truly sorry.

DON'T APOLOGIZE to us. I don't blame you for being worried after you found the other thread, but your original post said "he was supposed to ship it today" not yesterday.

I wouldn't wait 2 weeks to get upset but I would give him a few days at least to get it out.

If he recieved payment before thanksgiving you should have a tracking number by now. Sure its a busy time of year but if he has the money i dont think you should have to wait over 5-days for it to be shipped. JMO
Was not to busy to cash your check was he? Hope everything works out for you in the end. I think the way your first post read was that you payed him on Monday and he would not ship that day. Keep us up to date on how it goes.

You do realize shipping a motor is not as easy as calling UPS. Alot of times you have to have a freight company pick it up after you put it on a skid.

Or do like I did and drop it off at Fed Ex freight myself.They took the crate out of the back of my truck with a forklift. If you can't ship it don't sell it.You are supposed to figure all that out before you sell it..I did..

But you do have a valid point,however,Thanksgiving was a couple of weeks ago. He has had time to at least make arrangements.

Hoping it shipped and it all works out.But The idea that its not that easy to ship a motor is BS. They ship this kind of stuff every day crated on a pallet. Shipping depots are all over for the larger companies.Tough to ship is not valid if its not shipped yet.

well i got a text today he said would be here tuesday or wednesday and i asked for tracking # it is shipped by southeastern frieght lines he said,but he said he would give it to me when he got home in 5 hours but that would have been approximatly 8:30 eastern time havn't heared from him, so i sent him a text and haven't got any reply.

well by my post date it would of been yesterday Dec 10

well someone on here must know raceparts89 because after he finally text me back after i text him over and over he really was ill when he heard that i had even mentioned are deal about the engine on here and text that if i mentioned he scammed me he should just delay shipment but i say i have given plenty of time for tracking # he still hasn't give it to me. I told him to come to forum site and check out for hisself what was said but dont think he has, When i sent him money i didn't keep stalling on him and don't expect the same from him.

well i did get a motor but it was a locked up ls1 not a 400 chevy and it only had 2 head bolts holding a set of patriot heads. The head on passenger side had no rockers and missing one spring he sent a trans to but it was a o8 and electric shift it is also junk for me it also sent some other stuff ford pistons chevy flywheel and intake dont know what he was thinking. I text as soon as we opened at racing shop and called and text again no answer or reply so i told him if he didnt get in touch with me last night i assume he new what he had done and i was going to do what i had to today.

yes that is the motor that was supposed to arrive but i have pictures of motor that arrived i just got to figure out how to put on here.

This is the motor I recieved. It was locked up and had 2 head bolts holding the heads on. No rocker arms on one side didn't look at the other side when we found out it was junk!!

Thats an LS1 motor...Not even close to what the buyer paid for. I have to ask the buyer, How much did you pay for the motor and was it seized up??

does have a nice set of head though

I paid 4700 for motor and 240 for shipping motor is locked up we tried to turn it over but no luck. He sent a bunch of other stuff as well set of ford pistons and another set of ford pistons and alum h rods and chevy flywheel and chevy intake o yeah and a transmission all electric shift nothing i can use.

oh and thanks mopar 1968 for posting the pic for me i tried but couldn't figure it out.
