My grip for the day.
Filling up at the gas pumps and a car rides in, parks at a pump and rolls the window down for everybody to hear the nastiest lyrics to a rap beat.
One day I'm gonna lose it and end up in jail.

I really like rock and roll too, and don't get country one bit. However, now a days I really don't like the racket sometimes. I find myself listening to Gary louis and the play boys type stations (oldies if you will) to keep me from getting pissed off when I am fabricating looking for my tape or square. I found that the less intense music does not irritate me as much as say Metallica will if things are not swinging my way in the shop.
They have laws against fools with big radios here. They get stolen by there (friends) when they park them if they have real nice stuff. :lol:

I'm with you Bruce. When I am working on cars it has got to be oldies or classic rock. I am swinging more to oldies due to classic rock changing so much. Now when driving or just messing around it is mainly country.

Dam, I do miss that music. Ted Nugent / montrose . Who has Ronnie James Dio on there local radio station still? No body I will bet. I think that if rock and roll was any where near this quality still I would not have known who Gary Louis and the play boys were yet at just 44 years old.

on a hot day in 1988, i was a crew guy on a super late model team. headed to raceway park in shakopee mn. sitting in the right turn lane,some kids pulled up next to me in a four door impala. and they had the tunes cranked up!loud! and all the windos rolled down. a once in a life time oppertunety presented itself. the car in front of me made a u turn , i was first at the light, i did not move. the impala was boxed in. there was a light wind from left to right. i was driving a 1969 ford ranchero 351 auto duel exhaust and 3.25 traclok. i put my foot on the brake,the other on the gas, got um spinning puter on da wood, clicked it up in to 2nd speedo said 60. smoke was rolling off the tires. the kids in the impala could not the windos up before i filled there car up with tire smoke.lots of it! every one who was stoped at the light loved it. i got a green arrow and went on to crashway park i dont remember what happend at the track that night. but i will never forget an arm sticking out of a smoke filled impala flipping me off. stickboy331 :lol:

i hate rap with a passion and when i hear it comin out of car windows i see red! now lately i have had to fight to hold down my temper.because i have come very close to smashing in windows. but im sure some one in zips age bracket used to want to smash in my windows when ac/dc or black sabbith came floatin past their windows. but atleast there wasnt any bad cussin to be heard in my music. oh yea zipper i was just kiddin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
