Sorry Dave, Hope you recover quickly brother.
Proverb: Always use a ladder with an even number of legs and never climb a ladder when pissed off spouse is willing to secure it.
Hope this makes you laugh Dave

Dog Gone David,

Surely not the way to start a season, but hopefully you will heal fast and still have some fun this summer. Being young is definately in your favor and keep us posted on your process and keep a stiff upper lip.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. Don't try and rush it, let the healing take it's course. Good luck.

hammertime 05-11-2009 04:04 AM

thanks guys
hard to type with each side broke, surgery today on wrist

oldandtired 05-11-2009 05:16 AM

Once you get to physical therapy, do everything they say - especially at home. I was lazy on my home workout and it caused me a huge delay in recovery from shoulder replacement.
Dave

qtrmile2 05-13-2009 04:13 PM

Hope you get well soon. Alot of racing to do this summer.

signsbyesa 05-13-2009 05:49 PM

hammer good to hear that you survived the fall, but painful results.
I CAN relate to your injuries, i have been painting signs for 25yrs
and have not ended up in a wheel chair, just some broken bones.
when i was painting water tanks and hanging from a seat scafle,
i knew if i fell i would not survive the fall, and on a ladder 30ft up,
i would end up in a wheel chair. time will mend, hope the change
of weather is easy on your bones, i can tell when the weather is
going to change. just like working under the car, we all need to
be safe, mend quickly, bud

Hammer-

Glad you are ok. I will pray for you. Hey, when I broke my arms in 05, I had a heck of a time w/ #2... had to wrap toilet paper around & around on the end of a compound bow limb (14.5") & wipe accordingly (true story)... it would take like 25 minutes... each time. I hope you don't have to do the same thing!! If you do, I will get you a 14.5" bow limb from work & mail it to you if you want. Scooter
