cleaning aluminum
Hi everyone just joined RJ. What an awsome site. What are you guys using to clean your aluminum intakes and heads while they are in the car?? Mine have the usual dust and junk on them. Thanks

brake cleaner and an air hose works pretty good.

I found simple green and water works good.

I know it sounds stupid but if no electrics are involved i use aluminum wheel cleaner and rinse with water , brightens it right up. :D

WD-40 works great! Have been using it with a small wire brush for years.

bjuice do you have any idea what would happen to me if anything that had the name honda on it was found in my shop,let alone me walking into a honda shop!!!!!!!! lol ken

I used to ride a Honda CBR when I was in my early 20's. I mentioned to a couple of "Harley Guys" that I was going to ride it to "The Boogy" which is a big biker fest thing they have at Brown County/ Bean Blossom Indiana every year.... They said they would take it away from me and throw it in the fire. :? I believed them. |
