I bought a backhalf from BILLY HALL, I sent money never got my parts, Now he don't return call, e-mails and he changed his profile on racing junk. Times are hard enough to try to build your dream car. (Remember when you built your first car?) Know what do I do ? any help ? I just can't believe it happen to me. Trusted mankind and got screwed. WOW I feal stupid that I thought I could buy these parts from a man out of state and actually get them. (never again) I know there are alot of good people out there, but when it happens to you your tune will change to. Thanks for letting me vent. Any help would be GREAT

Info is this. I seen a ad on racingjunk before christmas for a backhalf , axle and related parts, we e-mailed each other and i sent him a check for all the parts (still have all the emails) also talked to him on the phone several times. Now that he has my Money he don't return my calls , e-mails and he change his rj profile. I thought I did everything right became friends with this jerk on rj and he had alot of friends over 130. But the bottom line is I didn't get my parts. Last time I talked to him he told me the parts got shipped by R&L Carriers. I called them they don,t know anything about these parts. What am I supposed to do ? What can I do ?

Thats not true you sent me a personal check I told you when your check cleared the bank I would ship. And that is just what I did. Just because you have not receved your parts don't mean you have been scammed. Your parts were shiped and you will get them. I have other things to worry about besides talking to you about when your parts will be delevered. YOUR PARTS WERE SHIPED SO CUT THE BULLSHIT IM NOT UP FOR IT. OK, Well why could'nt you take a few minutes to supply me with the tracking #. And when I had called the shipping company you said you, used to ship them they had no record of your name nor mine or any address of file. My check cleared on Dec, 27 so you had ample time to ship the parts. I feel that I have been mislead.

Your check cleared on the 27th. New Years was just around the corner. This is the first week after the holidays. I think you need to slow your roll and give the guy a few working days to get your parts delivered, before you start calling him a scammer. Impatience like this makes me leary to sell on the internet. You don't know that he might not have a reason for not answering your calls. Geez.........

You told me, they where boxed up and at the trucking company 3 times in 2 weeks if your going to sell on the internet you better produce. Just return monies screw your parts, And guys there more to the story.

This post has finally made me understand why complete strangers want to be my "Racing Junk Friend". I just went ahead and said yes. Now I realize they were probably just trying to "pad" there friend total to gain credibility to sell stuff. I will be more careful from now on.

As far as the shady deal that started this post, I agree that a tracking number would solve the problem. The check has cleared and if the seller can't supply a tracking number, something is stinky.

There should be a listing of both bad sellers and bad buyers here on RJ. Not just their user names, but their real names and addresses.
The honest buyer and sellers need to be protected or eventually the classifieds will just fall apart. IMHO.

WE have been in touch with each other and hopefully this will be resolved this week. My new rule is don't buy unless you can touch . Thanks

Where's the rule that the item has to be sent immediatly after the check clears. There's not ONE!! What I mean by this is: that's some of the risk in trying to save a buck and not buying new from a reputable company. In the stock market there are high risk returns with possible big pay back. But they're HIGH RISK. This scammer page works well but I hate to see it used before all efforts have been exhausted. Basically this post is saying if you don't send a tracking # and be at my beckin call till I get my stuff your a scammer. I do believe all this could have been avoided if a tracking # had been sent. But, I think it lazy and shows poor judgement to call someone a scammer after such a short time and being it was over the Xmas and New Years holidays. Seems on this page everyone is looking for a reason to call someone a POS; a Thief; or a Crook before we know much about the subject. I guess I'd like to see a little more integrity from everyone. Geez.... :oops: :roll:

everyone knows it easy to delet and then add your profile. when I tried to get ahold of you it was not there. Like I said last Night the only thing that I want is what you promissed me. nothing more nothing less. You told me they where shipped. what company did you use ? and a tracking #. I did everything you asked for. Gave you a company Check (not a personal check like you said) there is a differance, and let the check clear befor you ship then you e-mailed me and told me the parts where shipped out 2 weeks ago. I still have all e-mails and related items just in case. and i don't mind venting to anyone if you want the proff call me.

You provided a lot of info on the buyer; name, phone number email address lots. We now have tons of info. Except as Bigray said only one thing missing,

Proof you shipped his stuff-

UPS gives you a track number (think Fedex does too) and it probably had to go UPS or Fedex cause it would be too big for the USPS to deliver.

So feel free to append your post with the track number.

That is if you shipped it.

Second and fourth sentences said you shipped. So since you shared with every one that you shipped previously, why on January 11 do you say you dont have to give anyone on Racing junk proof that you shipped his parts.

Mike S. When you get your parts, enter the tracking number in the system and pull up when they were shipped. If the ship date is after January 9, then you can prove without a doubt that Billy Hall is a liar. Do a screen print of the tracking info and then upload it to this forum as an image.

If he shipped before January 9th then you owe him an apology, and if you owe him one, be a man and post it.

Hey Dean, what's the big deal? When I buy something I want it right away, in turn when I sell something, I send it out imediately. Guy bought a tunnel ram from me, he had it in SC in 3 days. Thats why we buy shi* here, to get it cheaper and sooner.

Maybe we ought to change the name from Racingjunk to Cheaper and Sooner. So what are you saying RJ should have a 3 day after payment delivery rule. Or maybe a 4 day delivery rule. Since you deliver in 3 days. Anyone taking longer than 4 days would be a Scammer right. What I was saying is why accuse someone of being a scammer after just 9 business days after check has cleared. Who knows maybe he is, I just think its a little presumptuous to accuse someone of being a scammer in such a short time frame, especially during the holidays.

Thats NOT what I said. The jerk saying he did not have time to talk to the guy about his parts or shipping them is the tip off here. " I got your money, so I will get to it when I find time" is what it read to me.

I think the INSTANT you receive someones money, the item you sold becomes THEIRS. Only in situations where the money is NOT guaranteed funds (personal check) should THEIR parts be held for more than one day. If you do not have time to ship it immediately after the payment is received, then wait until you HAVE time to ship it BEFORE you advertise it. I would not consider you a scammer for a delay, but I certainly believe it is a reflection upon the way you conduct your business. I am amazed at the folks that put the money in their pocket and wait to ship a mans stuff! The item in question should be packaged/crated and ready for delivery even BEFORE you sell it. You know you have to ship it, why not have it ready? Lastly, someone would be foolish, or very, very cheap to not use a tracking number and insurance. A simple form of protection for both parties, not to mention it shows your intent in satisfying the buyer. I have never been a believer in not shipping right away. I do not care if it is the holidays, your birthday or anything short of a family emergency. You ACCEPTED THE CASH, now it is time to send the man his parts.

I do not believe this particular item was shipped simply due to the evasive tactics in giving up the tracking/shipping number when asked MANY times. We would have NEVER seen this thread if a tracking number had been used.
