JUST ORDERED MY NEW WHEELS .

Ordered these literally two hours before I discovered my motor was messed up and needed gone through...could have used that money for the motor. OH WELL NEW WHEELS ON THE WAY!! :D BE here in two - three weeks. The rear wheels are heavy compared to welds ( cost way less too)but I don't care...I think they look cool and it is only a bracket car. Rears are 15 x 14 and weigh 20 lbs each( I know that's heavy ..a weld that size weighs less than 13) and the fronts are 15 x 4 and they weigh 10 lbs each. They are also SF-15 approved.

whatcha think? I think they are cool...hope they look good on the car.

hey tod, good looking rims, why don't you put on train rims with
very little rubber, and make it look like your ride is part of a train?
just joking, i hope the fade of big rims and hardly any rubber,
fades away like bell bottoms, i dig the old school look, big meaty tires

topcat572 04-29-2008 08:08 AM

rims

I agree, I hate big rims with short tires. :D

suicidebomb 04-29-2008 08:59 AM

Great looking rims. I also say no to little skinnies, Tires should be easily seen!!!

nofear57 04-30-2008 04:17 PM

Cool looking rims :D I've only saw these on the front of cars. When you get them on your car could you post a picture of it if you can? Would like to see what it looks like.

SURE. I have yet to see these on any car...I have only seen the welds that these are copy cats of....I just can't afford 437 bucks per wheel for the welds...plus I don't think I could make myself pay that even if I could afford it. I need too many other things worse..lol

signsbyesa 05-01-2008 05:40 AM

im with you tod, have to count every penny, but it blows my mind
when i heard that mark anthony gave j-lo (no talent) 8mil. worth
of jewlery, that money could have helped alot of needy kids.
i know its about wheels, but why can't we get paid millions for
a series of movie flops, how lucky 8)

Tod74 05-18-2008 02:21 AM

Still ain't got 'em??

Tod74 05-27-2008 04:01 AM

NOPE. I ordered em like April 21 or something and they told me 2 weeks...I waited 4 and called em and they said another week to week and a half.

itsabird 05-27-2008 10:29 AM

hey tod74 maybe they ment a metric two week,s. heck i have been waiting to see pic,s of them on your ride. :D

olds48 05-27-2008 06:23 PM

Dat sux :?

Tod74 05-27-2008 10:49 PM

Here I was worried about having new wheels and a broken motor...motor is back together and in the car should be fired up tomorrow. The neighbors will be so happy.

Tod74 05-30-2008 06:59 PM

Centerline is really making me angry now.I called today (2 weeks after they told me another week or so)and they said the 4's will be ready today(2 weeks ago they said they were being boxed up that day but the 14's were not finished yet) but today they had no record of the 14's. I said well I do you charged me for them...they gave me another number and told me to call their manager who said he would need to talk to his production guy Monday he was gone and that the 4's were ALMOST ready.I said "The other guy said they were done" he said well those are two piece we switched it to one piece billet which is a better wheel...If you want the two piece we can ship the fronts middle of next week. I said your website already said they were one piece billet that's what I paid for, and you told me 2 weeks before I ordered or I would not have bought em if I knew I wouldn't get em before winter. He said "You'll get them you need to understand this is a brand new wheel design we are working out the "bugs" "

My opinion is the "bugs" should be worked out before they advertise and sell them...and now I am wondering if I will get quality wheels or some 1st run garbage.

sorry just belly ach'n.

john858 06-05-2008 05:10 AM

tod74 did you ever get your wheels? they look cool if you had them. i bought a set of billet specialties and they just run out of front runners but at least they told me the truth.good luck

Heck NO!! Not only have I not gotten them, but I have gotten yet another story. It is different every time I call.
Yesterday I was told the fronts were "almost done" ( they were being boxed up supposedly two weeks ago on the day I called)..but now they are just almost finished... and they are now waiting on a program or something to make the 14's... which will be another week to week and a half...and then at least a week and a half after that to make them. So at best it will be almost July before I see them and if I were to bet I'd say it will be longer than that.

They have told me so many different things it isn't funny. I always wait until after they say they will be done before calling...when they said 2 weeks I called after 3...then when they said another week I waited 2 before I called, so it isn't like I am harrassing them...last Friday I called and the guy said he would go talk to the production guy and call me right back...he even repeated my number back to me. Well he never called and I waited until Yesterday and called him. I have been very polite with them up until yesterday...I left the guy's manager a pretty unfriendly voice mail.....I will never deal with them again after this.

I work in manufacturing so I understand that sometimes you have problems and can't get the customer their parts when promised...but it is the excuses that they keep feeding me and their changing their story constantly that makes me mad.

One thing they did do in a timely manner was take my payment...That was debited from my bank account within 5 minutes of placing the order.

john858 06-05-2008 05:56 PM

thats to bad,i won't buy nothing from them because of the trouble you have had, some times its like us small guys don't exsist to these big companies, but they forget we all talk to each other.good luck hope you get soon.

Tod74 06-20-2008 08:02 PM

My new slicks will be dry rotted before I ever get em mounted....lol

Still no wheels.

lively 06-20-2008 08:46 PM

I AM NOT A PATIENT PERSON WHEN IT COMES TO BEING JUST LIED TO

I WOULD CONTACT THE BBB IN THAT STATE AND START SOME ACTION FLOWING

I KNOW THEY WOULD RESPOND THEN FOR SURE
OR YOU COULD JUST DEMAND YOUR ORDER BE STOPPED AND ANY MONEY REFUNDED :? :? :?

I WOULD NOT WAIT ANY LONGER

JUST MY OPINION/ LIVELY

fla1976 06-21-2008 02:59 AM

Centerlines

I ordered a set of Centerline Convo Pros a couple years ago. They came in on time but there was no provision (hole) for a valve stem. Had to return them and wait for another pair. I guess they are still having problems.

Tod74 06-21-2008 01:16 PM

This is a brand new wheel design, so they are having programming issues is what the guy told me last time I called...but my opinion is DON'T ADVERTISE AND TAKE MY $ UNTIL YOU CAN MAKE THE WHEEL.

olds48 06-21-2008 04:37 PM

Exactly

john858 06-22-2008 02:41 PM

those S.O.B.'s should send you two sets for all the B.S. they've handing you!!!! :x

Tod74 06-22-2008 03:13 PM

This is a good example of why you should never sell your old wheels to get the money to buy your new wheels...lol

I didn't do that but just think if I did...wouldn't even be able to move it.

Good thing I didn't buy them huh?

Tod74 06-24-2008 04:32 AM

Well I got TWO of the 4 wheels last night...got the skinnies for the front. Good looking wheel.....I wonder if I will get the other 2 before winter...

Is a wheel that is one piece supposed to be welded together? MAYBE THAT'S A DUMB QUESTION.. :?
I know some two piece bolt together but I was under the impression that these were going to be machined from 1 piece of aluminum but they are welded together and the box says "HP CAST COMPETITION BILLET MODULAR" and to top it off they have a sticker on the back that says build date "4-22-08" one day after I ordered them...but it took over 2 months to get them,.

also, they are supposed to be SF 15.1 approved, shouldn't they have a sticker on them saying they are?
