Howards cams and racing components

are their parts better than the more popular brands like crane, comp, etc... has anyone had any experience with some of their parts

I buy some parts from Howards/Competition Products, one and the same. What are you looking at?

I have bought a couple of camshafts from them and I was happy with them.

i bought over a grand of stuff from them and they are good to deal
with, good people, they will give you advise before you make a mistake.
ordered heads and the valve train, they gave me some free stuff
and they call you to see if you were happy or having any problems
and if the stuff came in not damaged, good people for me

i am thinking about buying a cam, a 512 stroker kit and some other components for my big block chevy.

Their cams tend to be older technology, not that they won't work but Comp would be a better choice for cams. As far as the rest, I've heard good results with their cranks and rods.

parts

Call Butch, he will help you with what you need. They carry just about every HP part you may need. Bought the parts for the last 3 motors I have done thru them.

Bought a set of Brodix heads through them a little cheaper than from Brodix. Fast shipping and excellent customer service

Don't know about the lobe profiles and all that...but as far as advertised lift and duration if you look it seems like their cams are just copies of other cam companies off the shelf cams such as comp...

They got some weird cams. One of the solid rollers I was looking at was 714 lift intake with a 780 lift on the exhaust

maybe a nitrous cam?

They have some cams that look like they would be really good in my motor...quite a bit more lift than I have but with the same duration @ .050 and on a 110 or 108( 110 is what I want, I have a 114 now) cheap too.
