Should i pull Sarah or let her stay lets see what the majority says.
Iv never done one of these things so i hope i got it right.
This is in reference to the model for Ron Owens racing & performance parts ad's

Thought i better let poeple know what this poll was for just in case they havent read the first post about it sorry i said i had never done one of these before.
Well once again i Have a couple of people that thought that my ads was offencive and have made complaints about them i know you cant please everybody all the time but i will say that this does amaze me so i will be pulling Sarah off my ads but i will put her in my profile for the ones that would like to see her and we are doing 18X24 posters of her so they will be available also should be done soon never thought that a good looking girl was offencive to anyone but it sure seems I'm wrong. so to those that wanted me to keep her I'm sorry .

As business owner it is my experience that when someone tells me I can not do something or all of a sudden I have a problem with some form of government, it is then that I am fixing to make money and more than someone wanted me to....I therefore run my business as just that, MY BUSINESS....If I fall on my ass then I am the one that is paying for the fall.....Perhaps the 2 against your ads are your competition :!:

If you have to take away that photo then you would have to go into the profiles and do some serious editing of photos there. The ad is not offensive or pornographic in any sense.

I agree 100 per cent. I saw in your other post that you have had 2 complaints. The question in my mind is, did you get more views, which leads to more sales, than you did without the model. If you are, then the loss of those 2 customers isn't really a loss...

i don't think victoria secret will ever advertise there clothing without them on a model. you have a good add, and she should be used to display all merchandise. just like vana white on jeperdy, i look at the show for her, good luck

sex sells, period. You have a damn good marketing technique going for you. Im not sure why you are getting heat for posting pics of a girl with car parts that your selling on a gearhead website. its not like your posting pics of a hot girl holding objects to be sold on a childrens toy site or anything. :roll:

i think you need to keep sarah, dont let a couple peoples opinions change your mind. women and cars have gone together for a long time, just look at all the old hotrod callenders and such they have been using women on them for years, i think they are always a few people who try to cause trouble over anything,i think your ads with sarah are tastefully done and i say keep up the good work! there is nothing better than looking at women and car parts at the same time :P

Keep her in the ad. Let the gay guys shop somewhere else.

The first time this happened i pulled her pic's off and i haven't counted all the messages yet but i have 5 pages to put her back and i did and dang it they called RJ and reported it. so i Thought i would just see how many said to keep those photo's coming so cast your vote yes or no i will listen to you.

I know it's hard but you just can't let other people influence your decisions on what you already thought was the right thing to do.
I've had alot of people judge me and my family without even knowing who we are. It bothered me at first but now I could care less. I will bark back but everyone has an opinion and is entitled to that opinion. You just have to do what you think is right for your business.

I will agree there is a lot of people that do judge others and never knew them or ever even seen them i my self dont judge people that's not my job.
I do like to hear peoples thoughts when it comes to my business like i have said before good or bad and for those that think the model is a bad ideal or that it's offensive i would just like them to also voice there opinion for the reason why it is such a bad thing .and like others have already said models and cars or parts cloths you name it they have been around since they found out that men like them and for all the money that these huge companies spend on models it must work or they wouldn't do it.
And i dont care how much money you have never new anybody that just threw it away for no reason.

I got a message from a member on here that i consider to be a super guy and a friend and he brought up a good point .
Sarah stays and looks like about 90% think she should also and I'm thinking it would end up being even higher .
So thanks to all that made there votes and kinda helped me do what i wanted to do in the first place.

As a ProComp dealer also. I've been holding back to post to commenting on this thread. I donot advertise or have a dealer website, i only sell word of mouth. I am friends with Victoria and her husband in La. who runs the USA distributors wharehouse and have talked many times with Peter in Austrailia who owns ProComp. A lot of their products are good some are not. I only sell a few thousand $ a year of their products, and i have not had many complaints. As far as the advertisment of your model, hell if i was in it to make a living (as you are) i'd pose her nekid if it sold the product.
Bottom line do what works for you in sales, i don't fault anyone in their advertisment.
In other words let it fly, what ever here name is.

Hey zip this all started a little while back when i put her in a couple of ad's i got 2 messages complaining about it. so i took her off then i started getting messages to put her back so i did that. then 2 people called RJ and and reported me for using her so that's how this poll came about and the No's dont look to good SHE is not going anywhere I'm using her we are doing a lot more pic's of her .
Oh and i am a dealer for quit a few other companies also no just pro comp
Eagle /comp cams Lunati/ Glastech /Vfn/ M/t Aerospace mosar just to name a few I can get just about anything and we stock a lot of parts it's growing everyday .
We may never be as big as the other guy's but we do take Pride in what we do and our customers.

Hey Ron, i'm with you all the way, i sell mostly starters, (PC2105's the strongest one) and lot's of valve cover sets which i do some CNC machining on to personalize them. I have one of their 4340 cranks and i wasn't impressed with it, the distributors are good. Like i said i may have sold 3,000.00 to 4,000.00 in 2007, not enough to build a web page and advertise, it's mostly mad money or supplement to my retirement money.

Ron keep here on your ad's.This is a business your running and in business comes marketing.And that is a great way to market your products.Look at the % that says keep her.92%.That should tell you something.Besides RJ said for you to do what you want to about the situation.So I say keep her.Besides that theres an ad for kooks headers that has a pretty little woman in it.

Thanks bigs ya she is staying i decided that if people are offended by my ad's then they cant even watch TV or look at any magazines or newspaper because women and advertising is every where you look it gets the attention or there wouldn't be any need for models and lord knows there is plenty of them . as one person stated how many Hurst shifter sells did they lose because of Linda vaughn .
