strokercamaro 08-27-2007 03:38 PM

No banks or turns, just uphill..LOL

chevguy65 08-27-2007 03:41 PM

Way to short for me...gimme a 1/4 mile to have my fun.

Looks like a wild track though and some fast cars there.

bjuice 08-27-2007 06:46 PM

Guys One thing you have to keep in mind when your watching the video is that these cars ARE NOT BIG TIRE FULL TUBE CARS.

They are 3,000lb backhalf cars with 10.5 tires...

the Silver camaro with the black stripes with the 'FULTON" front tag is 'Steve Kirk"....
This track host some of the fastest 10.5 outlaws in the world..Billy Glidden has been here several times and has faced stiff competition...Cameron Jurow etc..if you are somebody in 10.5 outlaw you have been to Shadyside..reason is the purse goes from 10k to 20k and that draws in a crowd.

These cars your watching are TIT for TAT the baddest cars on the planet.

i just wanted to throw this in cause its easy to forget what your watching.

Ohh by the way Quann Stott last years PRO-MOD CHAMPION has ran a 3.73 et on this track at 189 mph... Quann matched raced Scotty Cannon jr a year or so ago....Quann and Mitch,Scotty were all Shadyside hometown boys in the begining...

Tom I look forward to you returning to this track in the future.

I don't have anything for them guys,LOL :P :P :P

I'll tune,you drive :P

I liked the black stupidBaker, because it had a BLOWER, too bad he didn't get down the track, otherwise the #'s would have surely been impressive, not that the other cars weren't also impressive.

Guess i'm just not a Nitrous person, because i'm totally ignorant to it.

i agree Zip he was coming on and you could hear him reach and get it..lol..love it !!...how about the Nova turbo spooling up and hazing the tires

lol :D

topsportsman1 08-27-2007 07:08 PM

We could surely do that, but I haven't drank in 25 years,so I'm good to go

If your balls are a little tight I'll drive,hahahaha :P :P

bjuice 08-27-2007 07:31 PM

ok we will flip a coin......lol.....it will be fun anyway it happens....we can run the heads up "run what ya brung" class...anything goes but lenco's and bruno's...even tho the rules are looser you still don't have too many faster then the 10.5 outlaw...we will come in around 4.70 to 5.0's in the class i run....then the open class with no 4.70 index,,you will pull in people like Ron Davis running 4.20's....

yeeeeee haaaaaa...come on Yankee boy Tom and let Hillbilly Brian show you a good time...( unnhh that supoose to be a rap i made up right now)

lol... :)

Yous guys be funny, i''l tell you BJ either one of those cars would put my shorts in a bind. I don't know whats going to happen the first time i get the 1500HP Anglia to the track, i may have to get you or OLD Tom to drive it. But we have an old timer (HeHe, he's 62) i could almost be his daddy. That has an old 1948 Ford pick'um up that runs at Twin Cities. it runs low 8's and has run 7.91. I don't know what that translates to in the 1/8, but he's in the air the first half of the track and hazing them the rest of the way and most of the time doesn't pull the chute. He scares the crap out of me but it's nothing to him since he's been running the truck for 38 yrs. Kinda like being married for 38 yrs. you know what shes about and you know how to handle it.

Zip.

topsportsman1 08-27-2007 08:16 PM

Zip
Thats about 4.90's to 5.0's
Whats the MPH??

zipper06 08-27-2007 09:16 PM

It's between 179 and 184, i guess it depends on the temp. and the humidity.
I'm not kiddin you, the truck still has a wooden bed that my friends dad mounted in 1967 before selling it in 1969, when it was a daily driver to work and a sat. nite racer. It still has the 48 ford chassis, but beefed up and a strut front. but it now has a 632 on a 600 shot, and of course it's NHRA legal. It's just scarry to me to see my grand pa's farm truck run like NASA took it over. But it is a crowd pleaser, it looks like the hidden valley ranch salad truck that you see in the commericals.

One day i'll make movies of it and post it here on RJ.
