I will post some before pics later and if you had seen the trunk, well it is 1000% better...a lot of blood sweat and tears. Oh yeah, dash is actually gray and that IS an am/fm in dash 8-track in the dash... Hope yall enjoy! |
Way to go Carl!

Hey Carl your Chevelle is AWESOME. Great job - it is immaculate.

Hey Carl I have not done right by not saying anything about your ride. I have looked at it I bet ten times told other people to check it out but only now realized that I have never made a commit on the fine job you have done on your ride.So I will say it now. Job well done and if you don't mine I will ride along if you are going to be listening to them groove tunes.

Seeing your car and giving me the compliment you did, it means alot!!!!! Yes, you can ride along any time with the groove tunes mixing with the sound of sweet exhaust. |

First off very impressive engine bay looks very professional. I am thinking that Charles had some very good advice and like the rest of us you maybe able to use it all when the money is right. Looks like a very good set up and great parts but the first thing is getting the power to the ground and I know that you know that already. But if you do that first then you know you are doing all the good when you do other tweeking on her. I was wondering if you run a air filter and if so do you have one of the new type tops you know that looks like the side of the filter and have you ever used a stub stack and also we used a thing that looks like a funnel that goes over the carb bolt that holds the filter top down and is spring loaded to fit against the bottom of the filter top also the air clearner bottom base has to be flat not a drop down type and more the merrier on filter height. After you get the traction taken care of then you may want to try that set up at the track it helped us 2 tenths. Also sounds like with that converter you have you may be thinking of putting the juice to it. I will just say we put 175 shot to mine and it knocked a full second off mine. So a 100 shot may knock another 5 tenths off now your knocking on the door of high 11's. Well I am just going to shut up. Let me know if you need anymore ideas on how to spend your money.
|
LOL...good stuff Wes,
Yes I do run an aircleaner, but I am going to build a cold air induction for it.....you can get kits and what you need here... http://www.spectreperformance.com/#CATALOG.9869 I can alwayd use new ideas on spending money, although I have about 15K spoken for in about a year. PS...Engine Dynoed at 461 HP @ 6100 and 484 TQ @ 4800 |
15k thats a big chunk of change not a new car I hope.
|
One thing I do know, Woodsman can come up with allot of ideas on how to spend money when it comes to a car! Woodswife

P.S. Engine is very dirty, I didn't wipe it down before I took the pics. seriously, you got one sweet ride there Carl, and it runs well too.... :D |
Just added a 750 Mighty Demon (Thank you Vince) and had a guy do a performance tune on it.
I will say it made a big difference over the Holley POS I had on it. It has 73 front jets and 82 rear if I remember right. Runs 6 1/2 lbs fuel pressure. Initial timing is 18 degrees and 34 at wot. Due to the compression it did not like more wot timing than that. May have to start running VP...lol Anyway I went and did a little burnout, thought I would show you the after... it is about 70 ft in length http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...5/PB050002.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...5/PB050001.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...guy65/mine.jpg |
