dragonmaster093 12-04-2010 09:29 PM

mopar1968 12-04-2010 09:29 PM

No what Dragon is talking about was the van trade, When the guy called them on the engine being a 305 they were scampering around trying to get a engine for the van. The guy posted up pics of what came out to be a 305 not a 406 :!: :!: They never made it right so the guy just cut his losses and gave up :!: :!: JMO Mark

dragonmaster093 12-04-2010 09:31 PM

have to pardon my typing the thought of these guys gets my blood pressure up

gotcha, they were trying to buy dragon's motor to make the van guy happy. What car did they trade for the van?
Buyers really have to beware and know their shit, as far as I know there is no way to tell a 350 from a 406 without opening the engine up..

Incognegro 12-04-2010 09:33 PM

Im still laughing at the fact the kid called me out..hahahahh..

dragonmaster093 12-04-2010 09:34 PM

take 2 seconds to look at balance and see not a 400

mopar1968 12-04-2010 09:40 PM

I believe it was a 84 Camaro with a 468 big block chevy from what i could see nice car :!:

MEMRACING62 12-04-2010 09:45 PM

this might explain http://forums.racingjunk.com/viewtop...=14360&start=0

mopar1968 12-04-2010 09:50 PM

Now julian look at page 2 and you will see the camaro :!:

dragonmaster093 12-04-2010 09:58 PM

good car wasted on dirt bags

Incognegro 12-05-2010 06:07 AM

Now I dont mean to sound like a dik, but why would that guy trade that camaro for a god damn Astro van with some rims? Was he an idiot? Ans you would think that someone who owned a camaro of that caliber would know the difference between a 305 and a 400....So Im guessing him getting screwed over was partly his own fault..

Now that I recall I remember my dad telling me something about a balance weight on the inside of the crank pulley on a 400 motor. He said th fastest way to tell a 350 from a 400 was to run your hand on the inside of the pulley,or the back of it or something..

Either way, did the Camaro guy not have the knowledge or common sense to do that? If not, what did he expect?

And once again Im not defending these white trash inbreeds, but once you inspect the cars and do the deal, you really have nothing to complain about. They did seem to misrepresent the car and get over on someone, however by his own fault IMHO..

MEMRACING62 12-05-2010 07:29 AM

agreed....that was my veiw in that case.In the end the camaro had its problems too. was a case of two scammers that ended up screwing each other.....if the clown buying the van didn't know wth he was looking at he didn't belong buying it. they both were trying to pull a fast one & burned each other......perfect!!

mopar1968 12-05-2010 07:54 AM

I agree also,The camaro for a Van :?:   So now you see julian way we was warning you :?: They do this type of thing to people very often. Now if you will read the messages you got he say's the ad's are under the same name, Now look at what i posted they are not,They are under different names. Lie's on top of Lie's :!: :!: JMO Mark

We all know you should not judge a book/race car by it's cover.

Well Well, that was never brought up before. I didnt know the Camaro guy scammed the truck guy too. Then why does anyone give a flying "F"?? And how come i see no scammer threads for the Camaro owner??
