I always thought that an engine was a machine that converted energy(by means of a chemical reaction, ie: fuels of variouse types) into mechanical motion. And a motor uses and existing energy source (electricity, wind or water, and there are more) to produce mechanical motion.
But hell, what do I know. :? :roll:
