I had a front cover leak there once on the dyno, so we took a high powered shop vac and taped the hose to the valve cover breather, taped the other valve cover breather off, and put silicone on oil pan/timing cover seal and let the vacuume pull the silicone in good. Worked like a champ that time anyway. Just dont get carried away and fill the pan full of unneeded sealant!

I had enough room to drop the pan down and clean the area with some brake clean and shoot some goo on it  I hope it works. I'm not gonna fire it up till thur. or fri. I think I'm goin go to the truck pull and forget about the chevelle for a couple nights!

Man...if I had the pan loose I would have put a new/correct seal in there...the only reason I said use the RTV goo was to avoid taking the pan down.
|
I checked the numbers and it is the correct seal, correct pan, correct ti ming cover. The felpro seal I have said its reusable so I'm gonna try it . If it leaksits coming out and gettin fixed right . I cant stand oil leaks. :x
