Ok I was asked to come here to tell you about my dealings with John/joe garary.

Just like I told Chris above. He knew what he was doing misrepresenting these headers. He had already tried once on Nasttyz28 to selll them. I just missed that attemnt. I found that out after the fact and while Mods looked into it. At the same time there was an Issue with a t-ram. Which I bet now is WLpatterson 2nd post 2 nd Page.

He was using the usernname of garay77n84. I aiso found out he had a 70 chevelle for sale at one time.
He not to long ago had rejoined nastyz28 using ss396 as a user name. frist thing he did was talk shit about my car. He was banned again.
When I found out from another forum he was a basketball coach in the town he lived in he got reupset claimed he had a BIL in law enforcement and threaten me with sueing if I kept e-mailing him calling him a crook because when you knowingly misreprensts something or sells it and fucks you over that what you are!

Geez,the more I hear about Garay the more sick I get. How did I ever find this guy to deal with? I definately learned my lesson on this dealing and will be gun shy to deal online again just because of what this guy did to me and others. Why do people have to be like this?

Thanks for taking the time to explain & maybe help someone. Don't worry about the silly comments from ghustler; obviously he is missing a few screws. The Baldwin Camaro is cool... one of very few in fact. If you like it & want to replicate or tribute that nostalgic look; I say go for it... I would give you a thumbs up if I saw you on the road.

Personally, I think the side-pipes either fit the car or don't... they are made to fit that body/motor or they are not. In this case, they guy probably misrepresented them purposely in order to unload them... I doubt it was a misunderstanding with a guy who can't seem to ship in 4 months or less.

as for ghustler.....

Generally, people who say such ignorant things are compensating for a small penis & still manage to reproduce (damn!!)... he probably does not get outside the trailer park much. He makes fun of retarded people. His actions clearly speak for them self. He knows he has pee stains all over his panties... don't let him bother you.

I messaged Mr. Garay a couple of times since he said the parts were shipped and of course no reply. All I asked if he got or could give me tracking numbers on the shipment. My bet is I will be going through this B S again.wondering if the parts will show up to me. I asked for a refund but he said the parts were shipped before he got the message. Without any tracking numbers to confirm that I guess again I will be in limbo. Lucky me.

This is usually how scammers handle these situations , hoping you'll just get tired of emailing and let it be...99% of people just give up..And sad to say, you being from Canada, he knows your not coming to the US to pursue legal action...

Im not trying to be a dick in any way, but chances are your not doing a thing to this guy. To go after him in civil court cost money, which judging by the fact that you purchased 2nd hand items online to save money, your not going to spend on a lawyer or travel expenses to the US to go to small claims court And believe me sir, these scammers know that..

and your definitely not traveling there to assault him, cause that would be asking for legal issues or worse, cause you never know who your dealing with.

So pretty much your only option is to suck it up and chock it up as a learning experience and spread the bad word on this guy.

Once again Im not trying to be a dick, but Im sick of hearing people coming on here and crying how they got scammed or how deal went bad cause they sent their buddies to pick up a car that wasnt up to their own liking, when its 100% their own fault they got taken cause they let it happen by not taking steps to protect themselves. I feel your pain that you got taken advantage of, but in the end your 100% to blame for it cause you allowed it to happen cause you were trying to save a buck or two.. Good luck and i really hope you get your parts but we all know your not going to and this guy will just continue to get over on people when this thread is long forgotten.

So basically your saying don't buy used parts on forums because you will get scammed 50% of the time, so Ebay should be shut down?
I really don't buy used myself but sell alot at times and have sent parts when I didn't go to work because I had a 102 fever!
I might be a jackass on here but, I couldn't live with myself scamming someone, if I advertise it for sale and you buy it, you will get it or be reimbursed because I buy insurance to cover the cost.
I do have a conscience about that anyways!

No, Im saying putting 100% trust in a complete stranger via an internet transaction with absolutely zero safeguards like Ebay and Paypal provide is very very risky and one should take more precautions to protect themselves. Ebay is not an internet forum FYI it is an auction site and as long as all transactions are done THROUGH THE SITE and VIA PAYPAL the buyer is 100% protected from fraud. Racing Junk is an internet forum with online classifieds and provides ZERO, I repeat ZERO coverage against being scammed. In fact they almost have a "welcome scammer" policy by the protection they provide for the scammers by being afraid to remove their ads and ban them..Racing Junk has become exactly what the name implies RACING-----JUNK...

Simply sending someone a money order or wire transfer for several hundred dollars without really doing your research is in the least, reckless.

I myself have shipped items I sold mere minutes before boarding a plane to go bury my father cause I figured my problems should not be a buyers problems, so its all in the integrity of the seller.

In one way I do blame myself for this mess by having to much trust in people. I have bought lots of parts from sellers on RJ and this is the first transaction I had problems with. From now on I will be more cautious in my dealings and one thing for sure,if the sellers don't accept Paypal and money orders are the only form of payment they accept,I won't be dealing with that seller which on the side of the coin makes it bad for the seller who isn't a scammer because I will never deal with them.
Big lesson learned on this deal and it won't happen to me again.

Don't think pay pal is a good way to pay or get payed i have lost almost 5 grand because of pay pal i want get into it all but just Google pay pal scams and take a look you will be shocked.

and paypal rules almost entirely with the buyer if they say you sold them junk or some lame excuse they make up----then you get to lose your parts[they will not return them ] and you will lose your money out of your account---had it done to me and then MY PARTS WERE FOR SALE AGAIN ON THEIR SITE- :evil: :oops:

A guy won an auction from me and never paid but ebay charged me all the fees and there is noway to contact ebay about something like that.
You go thru all their questions but it is just a big circle.

Well I guess my online buying days are over if I never want to go through this again. It is way to risky.

actually the process is very simple, after a few days with no payment it takes 1 click to open a case. If the seller doesnt pay within 10 days after that, you get all your charges refunded. Its pretty easy.

He said he was going to pay so ebay closed the case as payed, the end!
He never payed and i couldn't reopen a case with the same case number and could not reach anyone ,email or phone.

strange, I had over 150 ebay sales in 2011. 3 of them were non-paying bidders. I received listing and selling fee refunds on all 3.
Only Paypal or the seller can mark the item as paid, if its not marked paid the case stays open till the expiration period then the seller is refunded.

Credit card or check cards is a safe way to pay if anything is wrong just call your bank or credit card company file the complaint they will refund your money and do a charge back on the company that charged your card .

Pay pal is a joke when you try to file a complaint also if you are a verified
pay pal account you just gave them the authority to go into your personal account .

Everybody needs to check out pay pals rules you just open yourselves to a lot of problems with pay pal then try to talk to some one .

I have had pay pal on ebay for 8 years and never had one issue. However it has become a more buyer orientated atmosphere, cause ebay will not allow a seller to leave negative feedback any longer and does very little to non paying bidders.
