Drink liquor.
Suppose you are at a party and some hotshot intellectual is expounding on the economy of Peru, a subject you know nothing about. If you're drinking some health-fanatic drink like grapefruit juice, you'll hang back, afraid to display your ignorance, while the hotshot enthralls your date. But if you drink several large martinis, you'll discover you have STRONG VIEWS about the Peruvian economy. You'll be a WEALTH of information. You'll argue forcefully, offering searing insights and possibly upsetting furniture. People will be impressed. Some may leave the room.

Make things up.
Suppose, in the Peruvian economy argument, you are trying to prove that Peruvians are underpaid, a position you base solely on the fact that YOU are underpaid, and you'll be damned if you're going to let a bunch of Peruvians be better off. DON'T say: "I think Peruvians are underpaid." Only a fool would challenge that statement.

Use snappy and irrelevant comebacks.
You need an arsenal of all-purpose irrelevant phrases to fire back at your opponents when they make valid points. The best are:

You're begging the question.
You're being defensive.
Don't compare apples to oranges.
What are your parameters?

This last one is especially valuable. Nobody (other than engineers and policy wonks) has the vaguest idea what "parameters" means.

Don't forget the classic: YOU'RE SO LINEAR.

Here's how to use your comebacks:

Well my friend i'm one of the persons that you called these names on the other thread that was locked down. What i'm thinking is that you have lots of skeltons in your closest and that why you are so addimate on the teaching of the bible, now i forgive you for calling me all those names because you donot know me as a person and i think that i have done more to spred gods word than you will ever do in your life. I think the bible was not even started until 2000 yrs ago and it has been rewritten numerous times, with lots of errors. Carbon tests have shown life/ cilivation dates back to 6,000/8,000 yrs. Now maybe god stepped in and changed everything 2,000 yrs. ago. atleast that's what the bible says. But then dates and days are not numbered when a peson lives for 900 yrs.as in the old testament. It don't happen period, so that in itself doesn't make sence. Evoloution i do think is very possible and i do think it should be taugh in schools. I do however disagree that the lords prayer is forbidden in schools or before a sports event. With that said Robsbird i still think you are a good person and have your convictions, they're are just overboard in todays life style and will make more enemies than friends and run people away from church than bring them in.

:lol: :lol: Im not trying to be difficult, or religeous as you guys like to go on with. the bible has been translated from one language to another language or even dialects of language. there are commentary bibles that parallel with the there interpretation. But those are for study purpose. there are over 23,000 transcripts of the originals to prove the accuracy of the bible. theres no doubt about the accuracy. the dead sea schrolls are also excellent proof of the accuracy of the bible. the difference is, I trust it, I believe it from the first statement (In the beginning to the last word AMEN and I believe even the maps) and im glad you helped your church. (no charge I hope) and as for teaching I think you said you did that, excellent. I guess my most exciting time of teaching was when I taught over 300 pastors in a confrence in Peru. Me a teacher, nope i'm not, i'm a machinest and gearhead for over 50 yrs. and the only thing i've taught is CNC progamming and the operations of CNC machining. And yes the Cross Ministries was but built off company time and for free and many saturdays and evening hours. The idea was Dr David Ball's, and the bus was previously owned by Whalen Jennings and largely donated (cheap) by his PR firm. The people that travel with the Cross Ministries, take time out of their life and go all over the US, they have scheduled events at different churches when they are asked to come. No one gets paid. The donations help pay the travel expenses and they do file an income tax, because it's not considered a church. If it comes to your area, please take the time to go i think you will be impressed with the dedication of these people that donate their time. I want be in the group, but i support each and everyone of them. Some are retired, some use their vacation time, others just take off work because it's that important to them.

Wow... a turn of events... I think that is great. We are all different & percieve things different. If we all turn to same God to help us, even better.

I believe the Bible is accurate & is unchanged except to different languages & NIV/study types. The content is unchanged & can be traced through its origination.

The biggest problem I see is that we as a country are re-writing history... if you go to Washington DC & look at some of tours there, many things are different. They all have something in common... absence of God. The new history we have pushes God away... that is the new false truth.

Under that picture are the words: "this is where you came from" that is COMPLETE BS... Darwins thoery has been discredited long ago w/ factual evidence... but they don't want our kids to see that. Now there is a new thing called "Intellegent Design"... because we are so complex that we probably did not come from Goo or Apes. The problem is that these professors refuse to think that we could have been created by God... so what do they think created us??? Another life form w/ a higher intellegence not from this planet or ..... WHAT??? Is this what we want our kids taught???? They will look at everything but God. They look for answers in a shallow box... they will never find them there. I find great comfort in not having to know "why" for everything... I am just one human being. God is far smarter than me & I could never grasp his complexity in a life time.

I will leave you with something I learned not so long ago. Our bodies have billions of cells that keep us alive & have many jobs... i one thing is out of place, we start to have problems. In the last ten years, we started finding more to cells. In side of one cell that has other cells, they studied a bacteria cell. Inside that bacteria cell it has incredible amounts of working parts...& motors... yes, motors w/ electric charges. One motor had 40 working parts with a stator & a rotor that spun around firing an electric charge. If ONE part is out of place, no electric charge. How abosultely incredible is that??? That said, I do not buy us comming from worms, apes, bugs, goo or other BS that professors tell while they look inside thier little boxes that keep giving them worldly answers.... like evolution. We come from a more complex past than that. If a cat came from a dog, show me the fossils. If a bird came from a fly, so me the events & artifacts to prove it. Gentlemen... What you said on cells is just the tip of the iceberg. If you break it down a little farther you get atoms, and I think its there where we'll be able to cure and heal almost anything. The Bible says that with the faith of a mustard seed you can move mountains. Right now we know that atoms were particles of elements, substances that could not be broken down further. Being able to change protons and nuetrons in an atom will change its original structure. Its been proven that different music and tone of voice changes how the nuetrons and protons act inside the nucleus. To me I can see where prayer and a positive tongue(speech) could change everything if it works in a single atom. Just a little snip on how science and the bible can work together. What if Adam was atom.

I recently replaced all the drain pipe from the kitchen sink to the main sewer line. Going thru the wall, down under the house, digging a ditch, then connecting to the main sewer line. 2 days of pure hell. Crawling on my belly for most of the time. When I was done I was glowing like a proud father. The next day my wife calls me at work and tells me there's a water puddle under the sink, continuing to tell me that we should have paid the bid to a plumber of $3500.00, basically all labor, that I had just finished in 2 days. Pretty good money not spent to me. I get home to examine what I did wrong, and I find that my wife has stacked pots under the sink to the point that its putting pressure on the water lines to the sink, causing them to leak. I then take her to show her what the problem was, gloating that it wasn't my fault. Her response was if we had paid a plumber instead of me trying to save alittle money, he would have seen we needed a new water line.......
I replaced the 4.00 dollar line and I guess we're ok until the next thing that needs to be fixed. Just one thanks Big Daddy would work for me. Sometimes you can't win for losing.....

hello everyone , ever since I have been on racingjunk Lisa and I have steered clear of the forum because we want to respect all people and their feelings on just about any subject . i only posted the porn in pics thread because it directly affected Lisa and I and we felt and believed we had done nothing wrong and I was prepared to defend that . When I was ( online ) attacked by robsbird I was really amazed by the response and support from most of you . I think that alot of true colors have been shown here and Lisa and I just wanted to say thank you . Lisa and I post her pics only because she is a model and we are hoping that there may be doors opened for her from the automotive world . for more years than i care to count, ive not beleived in a god.ive seen too much misery to think there is a god.young children with cancer,be molested.killed etc, and that made me question all things related to a god.i have had discussions with preachers about a god and a few have questioned their faith because of my arguements.and then i had my wreck in 05 .i have a granddaughter(i call brat)born in o 04., with a heart problem. we werent sure if she would ever get to come home with us.i was angry, the worst i have ever been.(not a pretty sight). and i made a deal with your god. i said to give to me what you were gonna give to her, she has not lived yet i have . what you were gonna do to my little girl you do to me you ****** 9 months later she is given the ok. shes gonna be fine. before that week is out ive died twice and im in a coma. i spent the next month in a coma then a month in a nursing home then 6 months in a hospital bed in my own home. my little wife sleep beside my bed on the floor.i couldnt even stand the sheets to touch me i had to lay there naked(again, really not a pretty sight).i hated my mother, wife kids, everyone that i came in contact with/. because of the pain i hallucenated,screamed cried, threw things and tried to shoot my self.to weak to pull the trigger.and i HATED GOD. how can i hate something i dont beleive in?then i remembered my deal with god.if your really out there give to me what your gonna do to her, i can take it .boy did i get scared then.there might be a god after all.still didnt want to believe.then i met pastor ron.talked very little, but i watched him .hes a racerand a preacher with a hotrod and he was happy(he should be he now has our 100 cid pro street rev tech bike).then i watch mr. ed (edvancengines) and what faith that man has!!! i wanted what he had.then i watched scooter,rudy,signs,bjuice etc, what faith you boys have.then comes robsturd.man what a arrogant, self righteous, bible thumping scripture spouting, wanna be.i can throw out verses with the best of them(i have read the bible 3 times cover to cover) so i do know what that book says.boys thank you, because of your faith im closer to god than i have ever been. you have kept your faith even thru tragity.and to me that is faith. still have a long way to go but atleast i now believe.my eyes grow old and tired and my heart heavy with all ive seen but i now believe and that is a comfort to me. robsbird you will run more people from god than you will lead to him with your additude.if your the man of god you proclaim to be look deep in your heart, then in a mirror then can you see the truth. i hope so because there are so many lost people out there that will never find their way if you keep up yours. help them not anger them.never been a praying man but lately ive become one. i seem to be asking for alot and all i have to give is myself.hope thats enough.its all i got. again thanks boys. you have shown me a path without knowing what you were even doing and now im gonna try to follow that path. hope to see you there robsbird. ken

I think sometimes we have to hit bottom to see the light. We all seem to have our own story of how we saw that light and responded to it. I dont need some over zealous thumper telling me I am not a good person for not going to church or memorizing the bible cover to cover. Outlaw, Rigsby, dparker, bjuice, msmisery and all the rest of you guys have been great friends on here and the restraint shown by all of us towards robsbird is better than most men I know. If we do make it to heaven and he just happens to be there, its probably gonna thunderstorm that day!
