I'm with Joe on the flat tops, a lot of the AFR heads perform better with flat tops than big domes, something to do with the combustion design of the heads. I know the 388" i built a couple yrs ago did, with AFR 220's angle milled to 58 cc's, it ran 6.30 in a 3,000 lb camero with a toilet bowl on alcohol.

You would not be the first to question the Monza’s performance trust me I don’t take it personal. I was surprised my self at the first 2 passes of the year. My previous best was 10.02 made a converter change and some other small changes this winter Car race weight 2800 Density altitude was 1376ft on this pass 60ft 1.4421 594ft 5.8929 1/8 et 6.3059 1/8 mph 108.94 ¼ et 9.8305 ¼ mph 139.44 |
