Bowhay , I am confused , why do you post on here that you need advise quick? everybody advises you to go with a 9" rear and you ignore them all and say you are going with a 12 bolt gm...I just don't see why you bothered to ask...you can't beat the 9" as far as strength and the parts are cheap....JMO

How you gonna hit the spray? I just saw in another post your engine lasted a week and kaboom! Now the axle?

ur misunderstandin the question, i needed advice for axles for the 10 bolt tht is in the truck now, and am not goin to the 12 bolt,(or 9 in) until next year or maybe later...i can see how it confused u tho because the conversation took a turn too the future rear ends i could go with,
i found a set of axles for my ten bolt, had to order them direct from moser, but i got em and i kno tht a 9 in is better but i already have a 12 blt in my shop, thts the only reason tht i wanted to use it and that was the old motor tht blew up, this is new and all forged bottom end with h beems |

sorry i wanna go fast to i better stick with a cheby
and i put 3 channel shocks, with traction bars, but like the 10 bolt rear this is temporary, im planning on puttin a 4 link in the future |
I would rather go slow than not go at all :!: :!: Sound's like you are having more trouble than it is worth :!: :!: I haven't touched mine in two years other than oil change, tune-up. My hood doesn't come off at the track never :!: :!:

I'd go with ladder bar/coil overs. Much simpilar to deal with unless you have someone helping that really knows what they are doing.... JMO

bowhay, if you want to go fast why are you trying to do it in a full size pickup. that truck weighs every bit of 4500-4700 lbs. your gonna have to strip & cut the chitt out of it to get the weight down. lead sled. been there, done that.

im no expert but been around all forms of racing long enough to know 10 and 12 bolts dont stand up to real power. and know that the next logical steps are dana 60" and top dog 9 inch so my personal opinion is you just wasted money and parts that safety officails are gonna be picking up off the track
