Dump some 116 race fuel and bump the timing up to 36, you'll go in the 10's then.

Hold it to the floor full length of the track.

If so with that much compression I'd get it up in the 270- 280 range.

Tod74 has 2 very valid points.

1) Get that stationwagon cam out of that high compression motor and get something that will make your sack wonder what the heck happend when you smash the accelerator.

2) Is this a BBC corvette stroker motor with a 3/4 race cam? Just wondering.....

On a serious note,

I'd go 290 to 310 duration. Grow some hair........

Whats the lobe sep of your current cam?

How did you select the cam you have?

You running gas or alky?

HEADS? What size intake runners?

What size rockers you using?

Are the intake and Exhaust the same size?

What RPM you running out at the end of the track?

Theres a lot of great guys on RJ with a wealth of info to share and in the long run will help you improve your performance and save a few bucks,

Every once in a while we are all subject to have someone or everyone enjoy theirselves at your expense. Just consider it your friendly neighborhood of buddies who love to bust your chops every chance they get.......

Mopar, you might be on to something this chebbie motor is running like a mopar..... I think I would junk it too.................

Have you checked the throttle to see if it is opening completely? Can't check it by yourself so have a friend hold it to the floor and see if it is opening completely. (Engine off, of course)
