I've always liked this one, not really an idiot response, but funny.

This man is parked beside the interstate changing a flat. Someone pulls over to offer assitance and says to him. "hey buddie, got a flat?" the man replies "no, i rotate my tires every 3000 miles no matter where the heck i'm at"

On a construction site I worked on for a while we sent a guy to town to get a board stretcher, he was gone for four hours. He thought he was going to get fired because he could not find one anywhere.
