besides the obvious trim differences between a 67 and a 68 camaro, there was a issue with the rear suspension on the 67 camaro that became a recall and then was redesign in 68. so first what was the recall and what did it involve and second what was redesigned in 68 to solve the problem :?:

The shock absorber mounting was staggered to resolve wheel hop issues and higher performance models received multi-leaf rear springs instead of single-leaf units

ding ding ding!!! the original shocks were mounted on the same side of the axle and the cars had horrible wheel hop, to solve the problem GM had a recall to mount a torque arm/traction bar on the right side to alleviate the problem, in 68 they staggered the shocks and went to multi leaf and the problem was solved.
