getting suspicious

I have a dragster listed for sale and I have had a guy EMG88 contact me several times via text and email. He keeps telling me he wants my car. He was going to make arrangements for a deposit on Friday then Saturday then today he texts me and says he's going to call my at 4:00 to make arrangements and he will be at my location on Friday with cash for the remainder. Four oclock came and went with no phone call. Has anybody had any dealings with this guy? I'm getting suspicious. I have other people showing interest . I want to just move along to someone else if this guy is some kind of scammer or if he's just playing me. If you have any info on him I would appreciate it. I don't want to blow him off if he is serious but I also don't want to be scammed either.:confused:

You never know who will be the one to actually buy something. I always treat everybody as if they are able and going to buy. One the other hand I don't put much faith into anyone until I have $ in hand.
I don't like taking a deposit of any amount on anything. I will agree to giving a buyer a few days (set at date) to pay in full and will honor that, but I will not let someone keep dragging me along.

2 times they have not shown the money. I would go with the other potentials, you owe this one nothing...
