In a SBC with an 11-1 initial compression, how much boost could you run?

On our pro mod I used to work on, we were at about the same compression ratio, running about 45 lbs of boost...526" chevy, 11* big chief heads....kobelco superman 14/71..... had to put a ton of fuel in it though, even at 28* of timing, we had eight nozzles in the hat, and two in each port......ran good though!
