Thank's YB for the ups on this meet, i ran that track in 1985 for the Div. 6 championships. I ran bracket #2 and dam near won the event, but i broke the rearend gear in the final 4, and the guy i was going to run broke his motor on the same pass down track. The guy who won bracket 2 solo'ed for $4,000 plus contengices, i got $1500.00, but my trip was paid for by Firebird Raceways in PHX.
But back to the races this past weekend i watched about 6 hrs. off and on both sat. and sun.
One car i was really impressed with was a blue Henry J, with a blown 380" SM/BLK, he ran the 7.50 class, qualifed with a 7.62, went to the semi's and lost by 44 ten thousands, with a 7.63 VS a 7.62 and that car was a 735" B/BLK chevy. That's about where my blown 383" Anglia will run if i ever get it finished (money, i no have)
