two 454 for sale

I have 2 motor homes that I plan to scrap. They both have 454, one with less that 40,000 miles. Any suggestions on where to sell them or what they may be worth?

Around here a 454 core goes about $400-500 Most people just want the block and crank and maybe the heads if they are the 049/ 781 open chambers.

If I wanted one to put in a truck without building it I might pay $600-$700 if I knew/ trusted the seller and could hear it run etc

Yeah not woth much I can remember the day when someone would boast they had a 468ci ( big motor lol ). not anymore. I bought a local 468 ci 600hp good heads pistons,intake etc. totally dressed out carb down for $2,500.

I would try to sell them at a swap meet or local paper and post them at the local track. Shipping is not cheap on somthing that heavy that may effect what you sell them for.

If you find anyone willing to pay $500, let me know I have several I would sell. All 1970's 454 complete. All need rebuilt.

The last one I bought was 2 years ago and I paid $400 running but needing a rebuild
